This vintage Armagnac from Domaine de Baraillon combines thirty years of maturation with a distinctly fruity character. It was distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2025 at 42% without added colouring. The 0.7-litre bottle comes in a natural-coloured wooden box, and its label bears the estate’s coat of arms.

Its rust-brown colour accompanies an aromatic range encompassing both ripe and caramelised fruit notes. This Armagnac is suited to drinking neat at room temperature.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Ripe peach, mango and orange lead the nose, joined by delicate chamomile blossoms and a gentle vanilla sweetness.
• Palate: Sweet strawberries and juicy stone fruit combine with understated woody spice on the palate. Creamy vanilla complements the fruity flavours.
• Finish: Subtle raspberry notes and woody spice linger through the long finish, accompanied by a delicate touch of vanilla.

Distillery/Bottler:

Domaine de Baraillon is run by the Claverie family in Lannemaignan. They have farmed the estate since 1748 on the border between Gers and Landes in Bas-Armagnac. As a winegrowing estate producing its own spirits, it oversees the process from its own grapes through to distillation.

The estate’s approximately 20 hectares of vineyards grow on sandy clay soils known locally as Sables fauves. Its grape varieties include Folle Blanche, Colombard and Baco. The estate distils its Armagnacs at around 52%; they then mature in casks made from local oak in the estate’s old cellars.
