Domaine de Mandillet 1976/2026 - 50 y.o.- Armagnac Darroze

Special features: The Domaine de Mandillet 1976/2026 is a 50-year-old Armagnac from the Bas-Armagnac region in France. This bottling comes directly from the distillery and is referred to as an original bottling. This Armagnac will be bottled in 2026 in a gift packaging, with an alcohol content of 51.5%. As part of the Unique Collection, it is offered at natural cask strength and not chill-filtered. The Armagnac matured for over five decades in oak barrels, giving it a special depth.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: The nose reveals aromas of licorice, plums, and rancio, complemented by honey, gingerbread, nutmeg, and cloves. Candied fruits, quince, and a subtle note of underbrush round out the aromatic spectrum.
  • Palate: On the palate, tobacco and dark chocolate dominate, accompanied by a hint of leather.
  • Finish: The finish is characterized by ripe, elegant tones that leave a lasting impression.

Distillery/Bottler: The Armagnac is marketed under the Darroze brand and comes from the Domaine de Mandillet distillery. The designation "original bottling" means that this Armagnac comes directly from the distillery, without intermediaries. The Darroze 1976/2026 belongs to the Unique Collection and was distilled in 1976. After a maturation of 50 years in oak barrels, it will be bottled in August 2026 as "Brut de Fût," thus at natural cask strength.
