Edradour 12 y.o. Caledonia

Special features: The Edradour 12 Year Caledonia is a single malt Scotch whisky named after the song of the same name by Scottish musician Dougie MacLean. This whisky is produced in the smallest distillery in Scotland, Edradour, and is characterized by its traditional production and aging in Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled without coloring and without chill filtration, contributing to an authentic and full-bodied tasting experience.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: Strong sherry notes with aromas of sultanas and figs, accompanied by a hint of honey and oak.
  • Palate: Full and rich, with dominant sherry notes, complemented by nutty toffee, sweet dates, and a subtle tobacco note.
  • Finish: Long-lasting and smooth, with sweet and fruity nuances that gently fade away, leaving a lasting impression of elegance and depth.

Distillery/Bottler: Edradour is one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland and is located in a picturesque valley east of Pitlochry in the Highlands. The distillery was founded in 1825 and is known for its artisanal production and the use of traditional methods. Since 2002, Edradour has been owned by the independent bottler Signatory Vintage Scotch Whisky Co. Ltd., which is responsible for the quality and authenticity of the bottlings.
