Special Features:

Batch #1 of the 200th Anniversary Edition combines whisky from first-fill sherry butts 2101 and 2109. Edradour spirit was filled into these casks on 20 June 1995 and matured in them for 30 years. The whisky was bottled at 56.3% alcohol on 1 July 2025, with the limited release comprising 1,287 bottles.

Marrying the whiskies from the two butts brings the pronounced sweetness, depth and spice of long sherry-cask maturation together with the oily body of Edradour malt. Dried fruit and dark chocolate define its dark, dense character, complemented by caramel, spice and oak. The whisky retains its natural colour and was not chill-filtered.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose is led by intense dried fruit, with raisins and dates at the forefront. Dark chocolate and spice add depth, accompanied by a hint of oak.
• Palate: The whisky is full-bodied and dense on the palate. Sweet sherry notes combine with caramel, dark chocolate and spice. Delicate oak spice completes the profile.
• Finish: The finish is long and warming. Dried fruit, lingering sweetness and a subtle oak note remain.

Distillery/Bottler:

Edradour Distillery in Pitlochry was founded in 1825 as a cooperative of local farmers. It continues to use small-scale traditional equipment, including an open cast-iron mash tun, wooden washbacks, two copper pot stills and water-cooled worm tubs. For the second distillation, it uses Scotland’s smallest traditional still.

The distillery’s equipment operates without computer controls. Edradour matures and bottles its single malts on site. This 30-year-old anniversary whisky is also an official Edradour bottling.
