Special features: On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Edradour Distillery, this limited edition presents a 30-year-old single malt that matured in two first fill sherry butts (#2101 and #2109). Bottled at natural cask strength of 56.3% ABV, the release comprises 1,287 bottles and was bottled without coloring and without chill filtration.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Intense aromas of ripe dried fruits like raisins and dates, accompanied by spicy notes and a hint of oak.
- Palate: Full-bodied and complex with sweet sherry notes, complemented by nuances of dark chocolate and a fine oak spice.
- Finish: Long and warming, with lingering aromas of dried fruits and a subtle oak note.
Distillery/Bottler: The Edradour Distillery, founded in 1825, is considered one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland and represents traditional whisky production. It is located in the Scottish Highlands in Pitlochry and is known for its authentic single malts. This bottling was done by the distillery itself.
