Special Features:

This single-cask bottling was created to mark Edradour’s 200th anniversary. The spirit was distilled on 12 October 1999; the resulting whisky matured for 25 years in first-fill Bordeaux hogshead 811 and was bottled on 1 July 2025 at a cask strength of 54.8%. The cask yielded 272 numbered bottles. The whisky has neither added colouring nor chill filtration and is presented in an Ibisco decanter with a premium box.

The long maturation in the Bordeaux hogshead shapes a distinctly vinous, fruit-forward style. Red berries, blackcurrant, black cherry and blackberry contrast with dark chocolate, tobacco and polished oak, while pepper and tannins add spice and grip. A subtle liquorice note completes the profile.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose brings together currant jam, ripe plum and red berries with honey and vanilla. Dark chocolate, polished oak, cigar box, black pepper and gentle spices add darker accents.
• Palate: The whisky is full-bodied and rich on the palate. Blackcurrant, black cherry, malt and dark chocolate meet tobacco leaf, wine-soaked oak, oak spice and warming spices.
• Finish: The finish is long, elegant and silky. Red fruits and sweet malt linger as fine tannins and a woody note gradually fade.

Founded in 1825, Edradour Distillery is located in the Scottish Highlands and ranks among Scotland’s smallest distilleries still using traditional methods. It specialises in limited single malts made with an artisanal approach. Edradour distilled the spirit for this official bottling; the whisky then matured in the cask before Edradour bottled it as a single cask.
