Special Features:

Long maturation in first-fill bourbon barrels shapes this Edradour. The whisky was distilled in 2003; the casks used include bourbon barrels numbered 67 to 73. It was bottled on 6 September 2024 at its natural cask strength of 54.3%. The release comprises 1,126 bottles of 0.7 litres each. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and contains no added colouring.

Creamy vanilla and honey meet light orchard fruit, citrus and tropical fruit. Toffee and coconut complement toasted oak and its spicy notes.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, creamy vanilla and honey mingle with light orchard fruit, citrus and toasted oak.
• Palate: On the palate, toffee and coconut meet tropical fruit, malt biscuits and spicy oak; the texture is full and slightly oily.
• Finish: The long finish brings vanilla, fudge and mandarin alongside malt, salted caramel, subtle dried fruit and toasted wood.

Distillery/Bottler:

Edradour is located near Pitlochry in Perthshire and was founded in 1825 as a cooperative of local farmers. The distillery maintains small-scale production: it uses a cast-iron mash tun, cools the wort with a Morton cooler and ferments it in Oregon pine washbacks. Two copper pot stills and traditional worm-tub condensers are also part of its equipment. Edradour both distils and bottles this single malt.
