The bottling is done at cask strength of 46% alcohol by volume and matured exclusively in first fill casks that were previously seasoned with sherry, port, marsala, and Málaga. With a limited edition of 2,670 bottles, this single malt offers a multifaceted and complex flavor composition from the highest mountains of Northern Germany.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Lush-fruity and malty with notes of oak, light coffee, and toffee. Complemented by raisins, dried apricots, and a hint of fine vanilla.
- Palate: Mild, accessible initial notes of fruitcake, malt, and oak that develop into apricot, vanilla, caramel, and raisin. Rounded off with a characteristic mandarin note and dark chocolate.
- Finish: Long-lasting with spicy oak and fruity nuances.
