Maturation in former bourbon casks shapes this English Harbour rum from Antigua. Made from sugar cane molasses, it is distilled in copper columns and aged in oak casks for at least five years. The age statement refers to the youngest rum in the blend.

Fruit, oak and a subtle smoky note meet coconut and delicate cinnamon spice. English Harbour can be enjoyed neat or in cocktails. This official bottling has an alcohol content of 40% and comes in a 0.7-litre bottle without gift packaging. The five-year-old bottling won Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in both 2004 and 2005.

Distillery/Bottler:

Antigua Distillery Ltd was established in 1932 when several local rum shop owners joined forces. The distillery is located in St. John’s on Antigua. During the 1960s, it shifted its focus from robust, aged rums to lighter spirits. English Harbour joined its range of brands in the 1990s, taking its name from the island’s historic harbour.

Antigua Distillery uses baker’s yeast and open fermentation vessels. Distillation then takes place continuously in a five-column copper still. After cask maturation, the selected rums are blended and rested together in large oak vats before being filtered and bottled on site.
