Special features: The Eth Rye from Eimverk is a whisky from Iceland made from 100% rye. Eimverk Distillery, founded in 2009, is the first and only whisky distillery in Iceland and uses exclusively local ingredients for its products. This whisky is aged in new American oak barrels, which shapes its flavor profile. The bottling comes without coloring in a new bottle shape and has an alcohol content of 43%. With a volume of 500 ml, it offers an intense tasting experience typical of rye whisky.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose is dominated by aromas of rye bread, complemented by spices such as pepper and cardamom. Fruity notes of apricots, incense, hazelnuts, and subtle hints of oranges accompany them.
• Palate: On the palate, the Eth Rye unfolds with flavors of rye bread and walnuts, accompanied by bitter oranges and roasted peanuts. Citrus fruits and oak round off the experience.
• Finish: The finish is characterized by festive aromas of chocolate, nuts, and spices. These develop into robust dried fruits that slowly form and bid farewell.

Distillery/Bottler: Eimverk Distillery is known for producing premium spirits made with local ingredients. In addition to the Eth Rye, the distillery also produces Flóki, their single malt whisky, and Vor, their Icelandic premium gin. Flóki is the first of its kind in Iceland and has been perfected after numerous attempts at distillation and aging. The distillery uses custom-made distillation equipment to extract the full flavor from Icelandic barley.
