Etsu Double Yuzu Japanese Gin without GP
Special features: The Etsu Double Yuzu Gin is produced at the Akita Distillery on the island of Honshū in Japan. This gin is characterized by a seven-day maceration of traditional botanicals, including Japanese yuzu, juniper berries, licorice root, angelica root, coriander, and matcha. After maceration, distillation occurs without the botanicals, followed by the addition of fresh spring water from the Ōu Mountains, which gives the gin its freshness.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Fresh aromas of yuzu and lemon.
- Palate: Citrus notes of yuzu and lemon, accompanied by a pleasant freshness.
- Finish: Rounded, fresh, and smooth.
Distillery/Bottler: The Akita Distillery is located in Akita Prefecture on the island of Honshū in Japan. It uses spring water from the Ōu Mountains, the longest mountain range in Japan, and combines traditional Japanese botanicals with modern distillation techniques to create unique gins.
