Special Features:

Euphoria Absinthe combines a distilled absinthe base with natural absinthe flavouring and anise essential oil. The recipe draws on a traditional foundation while incorporating ideas of its own. Sweetish anise and fennel meet the bitter spiciness of wormwood.

The black bottle features a colourful illustration of the green fairy. It contains 0.5 litres of absinthe at 70% alcohol; the label states a thujone content of 35 mg/kg. The absinthe contains no added colourings.

To serve, dilute the absinthe with ice-cold water and add sugar to taste. It also brings its pronounced herbal spiciness to cocktails.

• Nose: Anise and wormwood lead on the nose, accompanied by spicy herbs.
• Palate: The absinthe is powerful, bitter and spicy on the palate. A distinct wormwood note combines with delicate fennel and sweetish anise.

Euphoria Spirits is backed by a company based in Prague. The brand traces its family roots in the spirits business to Albin Hill in 1920. Today, its range includes flavoured vodkas and gin alongside distilled absinthe. Production methods vary: for Cocxine Vodka, for example, Euphoria uses six-stage filtration through coconut-shell charcoal, while macerated herbs and spices are used for the gin.
