The name "The Famous Grouse" was added in 1905, inspired by the Scottish national bird, the red grouse. Only high-quality grain whiskies and premium malts like The Macallan and Highland Park are used for this blended Scotch, which are separately matured in selected oak casks for many years and then "married" together to create the unique The Famous Grouse.
