Fortaleza Blanco Tequila
Special features: Fortaleza Blanco Tequila is produced in Mexico by Destilería La Fortaleza. The hearts of the agave are cooked in stone or brick ovens and crushed using a traditional Tahona volcanic stone mill. Natural yeasts are used for fermentation in open wooden barrels, followed by double distillation in small copper pot stills. The tequila contains no colorants and is not cold-filtered, preserving its natural character.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: The nose reveals complex additional notes of butter, olive, earth, and black pepper, accompanied by a deep herbal complexity.
- Palate: On the palate, flavors of citrus, cooked agave, vanilla, basil, olive, and lime unfold.
- Finish: The finish is long and deep, complex yet easy to drink.
Distillery/Bottler: The Fortaleza brand belongs to Destilería La Fortaleza, located in Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico. Here, tequila is produced using traditional methods that ensure careful processing of the raw materials. Bottling occurs in hand-blown bottles immediately after distillation.
