A finish in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt shapes this eleven-year-old single-cask release from Speyside. Glen Moray distilled the whisky in 2014; Brave New Spirits bottled it after eleven years, yielding 655 bottles at 53.3%. The release belongs to the fourth batch of The WhiskyHeroes and is neither coloured nor chill-filtered.
Stewed summer fruits meet spearmint and warming spices, while menthol lingers. Apples, pears, caramel, toffee and a delicate note of oak add further layers.
At the Scotch Whisky Masters 2026, The Malt Marauder received the highest distinction, «Master», in the Speyside Single Cask category.

Glen Moray was established in Elgin in 1897 through the conversion of the former Elgin West Brewery. Even the first whisky distilled there matured in an unusually broad selection of casks for the period, including sherry and Marsala wine casks. This early exploration of different cask types provides a fitting background to the Oloroso finish of The Malt Marauder.
Brave New Spirits was founded in 2020 as an independent whisky bottler and blender and operates its own bonded warehouse in Glasgow. For The WhiskyHeroes range, launched in 2024, the company selects single casks and exclusive small batches. The names and comic-style labels designed in-house reflect the respective distillery, mood and individual character of each release.
