Special Features:

A four-year secondary maturation in Pedro Ximénez barriques from Bodega Ximénez-Spínola defines this release from Murray McDavid's Cask Partnership Series. Distilled at Glen Moray in 2017, the whisky matured for a total of eight years before being bottled in 2026 at a cask strength of 55.3%. The PX finish combines hazelnuts, dried dates and ripe red berries with a creamy texture, opulent sherry sweetness and dry spice. The result is powerful yet balanced.

The edition comprises 1,273 bottles of 0.7 litres each. This non-smoky Speyside single malt was bottled without added colouring or chill filtration.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose combines intense fruit sweetness with hazelnuts, dried dates and ripe red berries.
• Palate: On the palate, a creamy and powerful core meets dry spice and opulent sherry sweetness.
• Finish: The finish is long and warming, with sweet sherry fruit and oak spice lingering on.

Distillery/Bottler:

Glen Moray Distillery was established in 1897 through the conversion of the Elgin West Brewery and can therefore look back on more than a century of whisky production in Speyside.

Murray McDavid was founded in 1994 by London wine merchants Mark Reynier and Simon Coughlin together with Gordon Wright of Springbank. The independent bottler made secondary maturation in selected casks, particularly wine casks, an early focus of its work. Murray McDavid is now based at Coleburn Distillery in Speyside. Its approach is reflected in this Glen Moray's four-year secondary maturation in PX barriques.
