Glen Moray Our Classic matures entirely in American oak casks. For this bottling, the Master Distiller combines whisky from first-fill and refill bourbon casks. The first-fill casks bring vanilla and caramel to the fore, while the previously used casks give the light, fruity character of the spirit more room to show. Glen Moray sources these bourbon casks from a single distillery in Kentucky.
Our Classic represents the range’s approachable core style alongside the distillery’s cask-finished bottlings. At 40% ABV, it also differs from Signature Classic, which is bottled for travel retail at 48% without chill filtration. This 0.7-litre bottle comes without gift packaging. Citrus and buttery baked goods meet malt toffee, blackcurrant and the fresh citrus edge of lemongrass, followed by caramelised citrus and gentle spice.

Glen Moray Distillery Ltd. operates the distillery in Elgin beside the River Lossie, on the site of the former Elgin West Brewery. After its conversion, spirit first flowed from the stills on 13 September 1897. Even then, it was placed in an unusually wide range of casks for the time, including Marsala and sherry casks. That early interest in different cask types still shapes the range today; the Classic Collection, featuring several cask finishes, followed in 2014.
The distillery works with malted barley and copper stills. For Our Classic, it selects only American oak casks and brings together whisky from bourbon casks with differing degrees of influence for an official bottling.
