Special Features:

This single-cask bottling combines thirty years of maturation with a targeted PX finish. The Glenburgie was distilled on 5 September 1995 and, after its long primary maturation, finished in First Fill Pedro Ximénez Sherry Hogshead 201. Signatory Vintage bottled it on 24 June 2026 as part of the Cask Strength Collection for Symington's Choice. The cask yielded 343 bottles.

Its natural cask strength is 47.4%. The whisky was bottled in 0.7 litres without chill filtration or added colouring. It is presented in a metal tin.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals ripe raisins and dates alongside apricot and peach. Honey and vanilla add sweetness, accompanied by subtle spice and a light woody note.
• Palate: The whisky is sweet and rounded on the palate. Dark chocolate, creamy toffee and ripe plum combine with vanilla, cinnamon and ginger.
• Finish: The finish is long, combining oak and dark fruit with a light pepper note and warm spice. The sweetness gradually fades while the spicy accents linger.

Distillery/Bottler:

Glenburgie is situated east of Forres in Speyside, and official records of whisky production date back to 1829. The distillery is one of the defining malt whiskies used in Ballantine’s. As its production facilities were largely rebuilt in 2004, this whisky, distilled in 1995, still comes from the earlier plant.

Signatory Vintage was founded in 1988 by Andrew Symington and his brother as an independent bottler. By 2007, the entire operation had moved to the site of Edradour Distillery near Pitlochry. Andrew Symington selected Glenburgie cask 201 for this release; Signatory Vintage oversaw the PX finish and bottling for the Symington's Choice range named after him.
