Special Features: On the occasion of its 200th anniversary in 2025, the historic Glencadam Distillery presented its bottlings in a new premium look. Elements such as the historic water wheel, cleverly integrated into the bottom of the bottle, as well as the emphasis on the founding year 1825, highlight the deep connection to the history and quality of Highland Single Malts. This redesign brings the origin and authenticity of the whisky more into focus and appeals to whisky lovers worldwide.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Inviting aromas of caramel and ginger cookies, mixed with caramelized pecans, dried pineapple, and baking spices.
- Palate: Mouth-filling layers of peach pie, syrup, and caramel cream, blended with roasted walnuts, pralines, and candied fruit peels.
- Finish: Impressions of brandy butter, honey cake, and salted caramel, leaving a hint of dark chocolate and cinnamon.
Distillery/Bottler: The Glencadam Distillery was founded in 1825 in the Scottish Highlands and has evolved over the years from a supplier of blended whiskies to a recognized single malt producer. With its classic setup of two copper pot stills and the characteristic lyne arm angle, Glencadam produces soft and elegant whiskies, whose quality is appreciated by connoisseurs. The bottlings are unadulterated, without chill filtration and without coloring, emphasizing authenticity.
