Special features: On the occasion of its 200th anniversary, the Glencadam Distillery presents a single malt that has been refined in Calvados casks from Normandy. This limited edition comprises 6,360 individually numbered bottles and impresses with a modern design that reflects the distillery's rich history.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Inviting aromas of baked apples, heather honey, sugar-dusted almonds, and vanilla biscuit, underpinned by subtle notes of cocoa powder and chamomile.
- Palate: A taste experience of apple strudel, spiced fruits, and butter caramel, harmoniously complemented by ginger, dark chocolate, candied orange, and cloves.
- Finish: Warming impressions of cappuccino and vanilla tart, accompanied by fruit blossoms and a citrus sweetness that culminates in a lingering aftertaste of cocoa and baking spices.
Distillery/Bottler: The Glencadam Distillery, founded in 1825, is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland. It is located in the eastern Highlands and is known for its traditional production methods and the use of high-quality spring water from Loch Lee. The distillery places great importance on natural colors and forgoes chill filtration to preserve the authenticity of its whiskies.
