For Reserva Andalucía, Glencadam marries single malt from carefully selected sherry butts and bourbon casks held in its historic dunnage warehouses. The whisky is then finished in Oloroso sherry butts from Andalusia.

Glencadam’s fruity house character remains evident, while sultanas, other dried fruits and sweet spices deepen the Oloroso influence. Nougat, oak-accented vanilla and freshly made fudge lead from the nose to a creamy palate of orchard fruits and toffee apple.

At 46%, this bottling shows a bold sherry profile and a silky texture that becomes particularly apparent in the finish. It retains its natural colour and is not chill-filtered. This non-smoky Highland single malt is presented in a tube.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose combines ripe, soft fruit with nougat and oak-accented vanilla, while freshly made fudge lingers in the background.
• Palate: The palate is creamy and soft, shaped by sultanas, orchard fruits and the sweetness of a toffee apple.
• Finish: Honey, muscovado sugar and green tea remain present throughout the long, silky finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

Reserva Andalucía is a distillery bottling from Glencadam Distillery in Brechin, which belongs to Angus Dundee Distillers. The distillery was founded in 1825. Angus Dundee Distillers acquired it in 2003 and resumed production that same year.

The bourbon and sherry casks selected for Reserva Andalucía come from Glencadam’s historic dunnage warehouses.
