This small-batch Highland single malt initially matures in American oak ex-bourbon casks. Selected parcels are then married and finished in hand-picked Tawny Port barriques from Portugal. The 0.7-litre bottling is released at 46%, without chill filtration or added colouring.
Blackcurrant, blackberry and Morello cherry form the dark-fruit core. Plum crumble, dark toffee and clove spice add depth, while walnut, golden syrup and toasted oak spice shape the conclusion.
Since 2026, Reserva de Porto Tawny has appeared in Glencadam’s redesigned presentation. The newly designed tube describes the cask maturation and flavour profile and features a historic view of the distillery drawn by Andrew Davidson; the single malt inside remained unchanged when the presentation was updated.

Distillery/Bottler:
Glencadam Distillery opened in Brechin in 1825 and produces Highland single malt there. Its upward-sloping lyne arms increase reflux during distillation and contribute to the fruity house style, characterised by tropical and orchard fruits. Angus Dundee Distillers is responsible for the brand and its official bottlings.
For Reserva de Porto Tawny, the Master Distiller selects whisky from ex-bourbon casks held in the historic dunnage warehouses. After marrying, the whisky is finished in selected Portuguese Tawny Port barriques. This bottling belongs to the range of experimental no-age-statement cask finishes introduced in 2023.
