For the finish, Glendalough uses a cask that previously held Madeira matured under natural heat using the Canteiro method. The whiskey is bottled at 42% in 0.7-litre bottles, is not chill filtered and contains added colouring.

The aromatic profile combines sultanas, mango, pineapple, orange peel and marmalade with raisins, dark cherries and plums. Vanilla and sweet grain provide a softer counterpoint to pepper, oak spice and delicate nuttiness.
