This sixteen-year-old Glenfarclas bottling was introduced exclusively to travel retail in 2025. It matured in sherry casks and is bottled at 46%, with natural colour and without chill filtration.

The sherry influence extends beyond rich, dark sweetness: raisins, figs, toffee and dark caramel meet roasted nuts, orange peel, leather and oak. Honey and dark chocolate give the palate body, while cinnamon and nutmeg frame the fruit; dried fruit, nuts and dry oak spice remain present through the warm, medium-long to long finish.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals raisins and figs alongside toffee, dark caramel, roasted nuts, orange peel, subtle oak and leather.
• Palate: The whisky is full and rounded on the palate; sherry sweetness, dark dried fruit, honey and dark chocolate gain structure from cinnamon, nutmeg and well-integrated oak.
• Finish: The finish is warm and medium-long to long, combining dried fruit and nuts with subtle, dry oak spice.

Distillery/Bottler:

Glenfarclas Distillery produced this single malt and, after sixteen years of maturation in sherry casks, bottled it at 46% as an official distillery release. Licensed since 1836, this Speyside distillery has belonged to the Grant family since 1865. It continues to use direct-fired stills and has sourced its sherry casks from a family-run bodega in Jerez for decades. This craftsmanship has been passed down through six generations of the family.
