Special Features:

The third Glenfarclas Easter Edition for the German market combines a 2016 vintage with bottling in 2026. The single malt matured entirely in first-fill and refill Oloroso sherry casks, which remained in Glenfarclas’s traditional dunnage warehouses throughout maturation.

This distillery bottling is limited to 3,600 numbered bottles and was bottled at 46%. It is non-chill-filtered and contains no added colouring.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, expressive sherry aromas mingle with raisins, dates and dark dried fruit. Orange peel, toffee, nuts, warm spices and dark chocolate add further complexity.
• Palate: The whisky is full-bodied and balanced on the palate. Oloroso sweetness, dark chocolate and caramelised fruit combine with malt and spicy oak to create a rounded structure.
• Finish: The pleasantly long, smooth finish is warming. Sweet sherry fruit, cocoa, nuttiness and increasingly dry oak spice accompany the delicate Demerara sweetness into the lingering aftertaste.

Distillery/Bottler:

Glenfarclas Distillery, founded in 1836 in Ballindalloch, produces and bottles the whisky itself. The whisky is distilled twice in directly fired pot stills. John L. S. Grant selects European oak casks in Spain that previously held Oloroso sherry; both first-fill and refill casks were used for this edition. The distillery has been owned and run by the Grant family since 1865.
