Special Features:

Project XX is the second release in the Glenfiddich Experimental Series. Twenty brand ambassadors each selected a cask from the warehouse, and Malt Master Brian Kinsman brought their choices together in the final bottling. The selection included Port Pipes, Sherry Butts and first-fill bourbon casks. This Single Malt has no age statement, is bottled at 47% and is not chill-filtered.

Combining the twenty individual cask selections gives the composition depth rather than shaping its character around a single leading cask. Fruity and floral impressions sit alongside sweet, nutty and spicy notes, with oak and a subtle tannic touch adding to this variety.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, apple blossom and ripe pear mingle with vanilla, oak and golden-brown sugar. A hint of liquorice complements the fruity, floral character.
• Palate: On the palate, candyfloss sweetness, toasted almonds and cinnamon combine with fruity notes of apple blossom, summer fruits and ripe pear. A subtle, crisp tannic touch contrasts with the sweetness.
• Finish: The long finish remains sweet, with lingering oak notes.

Distillery/Bottler:

Glenfiddich is located in Dufftown in Scotland’s Speyside region. William Grant built the distillery with his nine children, and spirit first flowed there at Christmas in 1887. William Grant & Sons remains entirely family-owned. Project XX is an official Glenfiddich bottling whose composition was overseen by Malt Master Brian Kinsman.
