Special Features:
In this single malt, matured for at least 15 years, a selected portion is finished in French Limousin oak casks. The nutty and spicy influence of the wood complements the whisky’s fruity character without overpowering it.
The Glenlivet controls the length of maturation in French Limousin oak to carefully regulate its influence.
The whisky combines ripe mango with nutty accents and a pronounced spicy character. It is offered at 40% in a 0.7-litre bottle.
Tasting Notes:
Distillery/Bottler:
The Glenlivet traces its origins to George Smith, who in 1824 became the first distiller in the parish of Glenlivet to receive a legal licence. The name The Glenlivet has been legally protected since 1884.
The 15 Year Old is an official bottling from The Glenlivet. A selected portion of the whisky is finished in Limousin oak casks.
