The eighteen-year-old The Glenlivet Batch Reserve combines at least 18 years of maturation with a carefully selected mix of first- and second-fill American oak casks and ex-sherry casks. The American oak casks encourage its tropical fruit character, while the ex-sherry casks contribute spicy complexity. Whiskies from these different cask types are brought together to create the composition. The French-market version contains 0.7 litres and is offered as an official bottling at 40%, with gift packaging.

The whisky combines a balanced citrus character with fruity sweetness and spice. Vanilla and dark chocolate broaden its aromatic range, adding sweet and darker accents alongside the brighter citrus notes.

Distillery/Bottler:

The Glenlivet produces this single malt in Speyside; Batch Reserve is an official distillery bottling. In 1824, George Smith became the first distiller in the parish of Glenlivet to obtain a licence, marking the beginning of the distillery's history.

The Glenlivet's production methods include malt from Speyside, mineral-rich water from the Cairngorms National Park and traditional lantern-shaped stills. The whisky then matures in oak casks. The brand has belonged to the Pernod Ricard group since 2001. For the eighteen-year-old Batch Reserve, the Master Distiller's cask selection combines different fills of American oak casks with the influence of former sherry casks.
