Glenlivet Founders Reserve American Oak Selection - neue Ausstattung

Volume: 0.7 litres | Alcohol content: 40% | Chill filtration: Yes | Colouring: Yes

Special Features:

For Founder’s Reserve American Oak Selection, The Glenlivet combines traditional oak casks with first-fill American oak casks. The deliberate use of first-fill casks contributes a creamy sweetness that complements the fruity character. This single malt carries no age statement.

Founder’s Reserve joined the range in 2015 as a tribute to distillery founder George Smith. It continues the smooth, fruity style that The Glenlivet associates with its heritage.

The bottling contains 0.7 litres, has an alcohol content of 40% and comes in a gift box.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose combines delicate citrus notes, particularly sweet orange, with vanilla and honey.
• Palate: Sweet, vibrant orange and pear emerge on the palate, with a touch of toffee apple complementing the fruit.
• Finish: The finish is long, creamy and smooth.

Distillery/Bottler:

The Glenlivet has its roots in Scotland’s Speyside region. In 1824, George Smith became the first distiller in the parish of Glenlivet to obtain a legal licence, laying the foundations for the distillery whose founder this bottling honours.

The distillery uses mineral-rich water from the Cairngorms and distinctive lantern-shaped copper stills. The spirit is then matured in selected oak casks. The Glenlivet has been part of the Pernod Ricard portfolio since 2001.
