Special features: This 15-year-old rum from the renowned Hampden Distillery in Jamaica matured entirely in the tropical climate and has an ester content of 200–400 g/hlpa, corresponding to the LROK marque. This long barrel aging gives it a complex and profound flavor spectrum.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Lush and smooth with fine peppery and candied notes that develop into aromas of fig, almond paste, and roasted walnuts. Oxidative nuances of blackcurrant and empyreumatic hints of burnt sugarcane and incense enrich the bouquet.
• Palate: Lively and creamy at the same time, characterized by distinct aromas of macerated fruits like mango and guava, accompanied by diesel and candied ginger. A powdery texture with cocoa, milky almond notes, and an oily consistency reveals great finesse. Gradually, a hint of cinnamon powder unfolds.
• Finish: Silky and tannic, with cane sugar enriched with iris concentrate, leading into a robust aftertaste. Alternating between powdery with cocoa and ginger, fruity with mango, floral with reseda and clove, as well as licorice-like, the finish offers a complete synthesis of nose and palate. The empty glass later highlights the medicinal and terpenic character of this Hampden.
