HEIMAT Frische Ingwerspirituose

Volume: 0.5 litres | Alcohol content: 25% | Chill filtration: Yes | Colouring: No

Special Features:

This ginger spirit centres on a three-ingredient recipe: distilled organic ginger forms the base, complemented by organic agave syrup and cold-pressed lemon juice. The sweetness and lemon acidity balance the characteristic ginger heat and give the spirit its refreshing character.

The spirit is offered at 25% alcohol in a bottle containing 0.5 litres. It can be enjoyed neat or lengthened with soda water; spritz and tonic also suit its sweet-and-sour, spicy profile.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals a pronounced, refreshing ginger aroma.
• Palate: On the palate, pleasant heat meets restrained sweetness.
• Finish: The long finish is warm and lightly spicy.

Distillery/Bottler:

Marcel, Rouven and Raphael developed HEIMAT Distillers together. Their shared idea took shape in 2017 when they began developing their own gin. Rouven brought his connection to the family distillery, which his father was already running in its fifth generation. After converting an old natural stone works, they opened their distillery in Schwaigern-Niederhofen in 2018.

The former industrial building now also welcomes visitors, who can learn about production and taste the products on site. HEIMAT Distillers use water from a cistern to cool their still, reducing drinking water consumption during distillation.
