Special features: The Silent Mills series from High Coast Whisky is dedicated to the smoky side of Swedish whisky and honors the history of the sawmills along the Ångermanälven. Silent Mills 01 – Marieberg is the first release of this series and is characterized by a higher alcohol content of 51%, which particularly highlights the intense aromas of the peated malt. The maturation took place 82% in 200-liter bourbon barrels and 18% in 100-liter barrels made of new American oak. It was bottled in 0.5-liter bottles, with an average aging time of 7.23 years.

• Nose: Distinct vanilla aromas with a hint of orange, accompanied by smoky notes and subtle hints of cinnamon and pear.
• Palate: Powerful vanilla paired with light citrus notes, intense smokiness with a clear peat note and a campfire flavor.

Distillery/Bottler: High Coast Distillery, originally founded in 2010 as Box Distilleri, is located on the banks of the Ångermanälven in the Höga Kusten region of Sweden. In 2018, the name was changed to High Coast Distillery to emphasize the geographical origin more strongly. The distillery is known for producing single malt whiskies, both peated and unpeated, and places great importance on transparency in the production process.
