High Coast-Timmer
Special features: The High Coast-Timmer is a smoky single malt whisky from the Swedish High Coast Distillery. It is made from 100% peated malt and matures in first-fill bourbon barrels, giving it a distinctive smokiness and a deep connection to the regional tradition. The name "Timmer" means "wood" in Swedish and recalls the history of the timber industry in Ådalen, Sweden.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Peat smoke with hints of vanilla and fresh wood.
- Palate: Campfire smoke, accompanied by a rich vanilla sweetness and a subtle citrus note.
- Finish: Long-lasting with ash and citrus notes that round off the smokiness.
Distillery/Bottler: The High Coast Distillery, formerly known as Box Distillery, is located in Sörviken, Sweden. Founded in 2010, it exclusively produces single malt whisky and is known for its innovative production methods and the use of local water from the Ångermanälven.
