This fruit liqueur is built around a clear contrast: generous quantities of juicy wild and cultivated raspberries provide a full berry flavour, while chilli adds a piquant accent. Fruit sweetness leads the way before the chilli heat unfolds and lingers in the aftertaste. The liqueur is bottled at 28%.

Ripe raspberries combine sweetness with delicate acidity. On the palate, the berry fruit is full and velvety; the chilli heat that follows complements it without displacing the fruit. The transition from a sweet opening to spicy warmth defines the character of this bottling.

Distillery/Bottler:

Hercynian Distilling Co. / Hammerschmiede has been making spirits by hand since 1985. The company is based in Walkenried-Zorge, beside the Elsbach stream in the Harz mountains. It began with liqueurs, adding fruit and grain spirits later. Today, its range includes herbal and fruit liqueurs, fruit brandies and fruit spirits, as well as MONOKEL DRY GIN. Since 2002, the distillery has also produced single malt whisky from the Harz. Hammerschmiede makes the Himbeer-Chili fruit liqueur itself and bottles it as an official bottling.
