Special features: This Inchmurrin whisky was distilled in 2013 and matured for 13 years in refill bourbon casks and Oloroso sherry hogsheads. The bottling is done by Thompson Bros., an independent bottler from Dornoch in the Highlands of Scotland. The whisky has an alcohol content of 52.2% and is presented without chill filtration. These characteristics enhance the diversity of aromas that shape the character of this spirit.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose is dominated by overripe peaches, white strawberries, and the scent of freshly opened bags of salted peanuts. Green apples and sultanas complement the bouquet, while a hint of salt balances the sweet notes.
• Palate: On the palate, flavors of strawberry licorice, apricots, and Golden Grahams unfold. Additionally, there are Kopiko cappuccino candies, hazelnuts, lime, and cashews.
• Finish: The finish is fruity and nutty, with the Oloroso cask influence adding extra depth to the whisky.

Distillery/Bottler: Thompson Bros. is an independent bottler from Dornoch in the northern Highlands of Scotland. The founders, Simon and Philip Thompson, started with a whisky bar in the Dornoch Castle Hotel. In 2016, they established the Dornoch Distillery, a microdistillery, on the hotel grounds. Additionally, the Struie Distillery is currently under construction, which is expected to utilize innovative solar-powered technologies and is projected to be operational by 2026.
