This liqueur from Kentucky is offered at 32.5% in a bottle containing 0.7 litres. It can be enjoyed neat or over ice. Ginger ale or a mixture of apple juice and soda water make suitable mixers for a long drink.

Distillery/Bottler:

The Beam family's bourbon tradition dates back to 1795, when Jacob Beam sold his first barrel. After American Prohibition ended in 1933, James Beauregard Beam rebuilt the distillery in Clermont, Kentucky, in 120 days with the help of friends and family. The Jim Beam brand name honours him.

A yeast strain preserved across generations is part of the continuity of bourbon production. Jim Beam safeguarded it by regularly taking a portion home. Combining bourbon with liqueur later became another area of development for the brand: in 2009, under Fred Noe, Red Stag was introduced as a combination of cherry liqueur and Kentucky Straight Bourbon.
