Johnnie Walker Blue Label brings together selected Single Malt and Single Grain Scotch whiskies. Exceptionally rare stocks are hand-selected for the blend; only around one in 10,000 casks assessed has the desired character. These include whiskies from distilleries that closed long ago.

The new presentation features a blue-shimmering glass bottle with gold accents and the Striding Man. The 0.7-litre bottle is filled at 40% and comes in a premium presentation box.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose combines subtle smoke, honey, oak and dried fruit. Fine pepper and further spices complement the opening aromas.
• Palate: The whisky feels silky on the palate, where toffee, marzipan, dark chocolate and raisins meet ripe orange. Hazelnut, vanilla sweetness and honey complement this citrus side.
• Finish: The finish is long and smooth, with lingering ginger and sandalwood accompanied by a hint of smoke.

Distillery/Bottler:

The story of Johnnie Walker began in 1820 with John Walker’s grocery shop in Kilmarnock, Scotland. Because the Single Malts available at the time were inconsistent in flavour, he began blending whiskies to create a more reliable house style. Conceived as a tribute to the Old Highland Whisky introduced in 1867, Blue Label continues this blending tradition.

The Johnnie Walker blending team selects rare whiskies from the house’s extensive stocks and combines them to create the official Blue Label bottling. Its combination of Malt and Grain whiskies places it in the Blended Scotch category, while the exceptionally rigorous cask selection gives Blue Label its special status within the brand.
