Special Features:

This 12-year-old Island single malt is first matured in ex-bourbon American white oak casks and then finished in Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez. The two cask types unite honeyed sweetness and warm spices with nutty, chocolatey depth without masking Jura’s gentle smoke.

Jura introduced redesigned packaging in 2025 but left the whisky inside unchanged. Its broader aromatic range includes peach and bright citrus alongside raisins, toasted almonds, sherry sweetness, toffee and dark fruits.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose combines dark chocolate, honey and walnut with soft citrus fruit.
• Palate: On the palate, coffee, salted banana, liquorice and brown sugar create an unusually savoury-sweet contrast.
• Finish: The lingering finish brings together freshly ground coffee and dark chocolate with gentle smoke and dry oak.

Distillery/Bottler:

Jura Distillery produces this 12-year-old Jura single malt, which is a distillery bottling. Founded in 1810, the distillery ceased operations in 1901. Its reconstruction began in 1960, and it reopened in 1963, helping to revitalise the island community. It has belonged to Whyte & Mackay since 1994.
