As part of the Cask Editions, this bottling places maturation in American bourbon barrels at its heart. This cask type combines Jura’s fruity, aromatic distillate character with ripe citrus fruit, vanilla and salted caramel.

The citrus note develops through the interplay between the still-derived character and the cask, while the vanilla and caramel primarily come from cask maturation. The whisky is offered at 40% in a 0.7-litre bottle; it is chill-filtered and contains colouring.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Vanilla and coconut open the nose.
• Palate: On the palate, creamy toffee and apricot combine to create a smooth, fruity texture.
• Finish: Poached pear, cinnamon and cocoa linger gently in the finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

This bottling belongs to Jura’s distillery range. Rooted on the Isle of Jura since 1810, the distillery reopened in 1963 after being closed for more than six decades and has belonged to Whyte & Mackay since 1994. Its exceptionally tall and broad stills increase contact with copper and promote a fruity, aromatic new make that forms the basis of this bourbon-cask maturation.
