This single malt for travel retail initially matured in ex-bourbon American white oak casks and was then finished in selected Madeira Malvasia casks. Bottled in 2025, the edition contains 1 litre and has an alcohol content of 40%.
The fourth release in the limited Islanders’ Expressions series combines its change of cask with a creative project involving the island community. Its sensory range extends from bright, ripe fruit through floral notes and citrus marmalade to toasted walnut, salted toffee and gentle honeyed sweetness.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Nectarine and pineapple mingle with delicate nuances of chamomile and broom blossom.
Palate: Citrus marmalade and dried peach meet toasted walnut and salted toffee.
Finish: The long, balanced finish retains gentle honeyed sweetness and ripe stone fruit.
Distillery/Bottler:
The Isle of Jura Distillery produced and bottled this whisky. The limited Islanders’ Expressions series celebrates creative members of the island community and their craftsmanship. For the fourth release, the distillery collaborated with Neil Cameron, who works on Jura as a gardener and is also employed by the distillery. His colourful floral arrangements and towering sunflowers against the rugged island landscape inspired the packaging’s floral design.
