Special features: The Kanosuke Single Malt is a whisky from Japan, produced at the Kanosuke Distillery, which was founded in 2017. The bottling comes in an attractive gift packaging and has an alcohol content of 48%. The whisky is bottled without chill filtration and without colorants. It is aged in American white oak barrels as well as in newly charred Shochu barrels that were previously used for aging Mellowed Kozuru Shochu. Three different copper pot stills with varying neck shapes and lyne arm angles are used for distillation, resulting in a complex flavor profile.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals aromas of honey, banana, tea with lemon, and caramel.
• Palate: On the palate, the whisky shows notes of candied quince, cinnamon, ginger, and lightly smoked nuts. It also reminds one of honey-quince candies, spicy cinnamon, and smoked nuts.
• Finish: The finish is elegant and characterized by a sweet bitterness that lingers gently. The aftertaste reveals refined, lasting sweetness and bitterness.
