This Solist single-cask bottling places the influence of an ex-bourbon cask at its heart. The whisky matured in American white oak cask B170420112D and was bottled at a cask strength of 55.6%. This 0.7-litre bottling is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.

Coconut and vanilla shape the cask's aromatic profile. On the palate, spicy oak complements the vanilla, while coconut and softer oak notes linger through the long finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

Taiwan's King Car Group operates the Kavalan whisky distillery in Yilan. Construction of the distillery began in 2005, and its first new make flowed on March 11, 2006. In 2009, Kavalan introduced Solist Ex-Bourbon and Solist Sherry as the first single-cask bottlings in the Solist series. This bottling continues that range and was bottled by Kavalan itself.
