Special Features:

The 15th Edition concludes Kilchoman’s limited 100% Islay series. For this 2025 release, whisky from 54 ex-bourbon barrels was married. The spirit was distilled from Concerto and Publican barley harvested in 2014 and 2015 and matured for at least nine years. Maturation exclusively in bourbon casks shapes the interplay of vanilla, caramel and butterscotch with citrus sweetness and peat smoke.

Kilchoman grows the barley in its own fields and malts it on site; distillation, maturation and bottling also take place on Islay. This edition has a peat level of 20 ppm. The limited release comprises 13,000 bottles worldwide. The whisky was bottled at 50% without chill filtration or added colouring.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, vanilla and tropical fruit combine with fresh hay, toasted oak, grassy notes and salted butter.
• Palate: Milk chocolate and salted caramel meet fresh peat smoke on the palate, complemented by candied citrus fruit, lemon, ripe pear and a hint of white pepper.
• Finish: Maritime peat smoke lingers through the finish, accompanied by fresh fruit notes and honeyed sweetness.

Distillery/Bottler:

Anthony and Kathy Wills founded Kilchoman in 2005; today, the distillery operates as a family business at Rockside Farm. Traditional floor malting, in which soaked barley germinates on a concrete floor and is turned regularly by hand, is central to the 100% Islay approach. Kilchoman Distillery produces this edition and bottles the whisky itself on site.
