This single malt whisky is made from heavily peated malt with 50 ppm phenol content and matures in a combination of ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled at 46% ABV, without chill filtration and without coloring, to preserve the natural flavors.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Intense peat smoke, accompanied by fruity notes like lemon peel and vanilla, as well as a maritime influence with floral accents and hints of peach and pear.
• Palate: A balanced interplay of tropical fruits, dried sultanas, and a pleasant smokiness, underpinned by sweet aromas of honey, malt, and caramel.
• Finish: Long-lasting with notes of sherry-dried fruit, black pepper, and sea salt, accompanied by a citrus-fresh sweetness and maritime peat smoke.

Distillery/Bottler: The Kilchoman Distillery was founded in 2005 on the Rockside Farm in the northwest of Islay and is one of the youngest distilleries in Scotland. It is characterized by its "From Barley to Bottle" philosophy, where the entire whisky production takes place on-site, including the growing and malting of the barley. Kilchoman places great importance on traditional production methods and produces about 100,000 liters of alcohol annually.
