Special features: Kookie Irish Gin was created in a special collaboration between Irish radio presenter and entertainer Alan Clark, a native of County Mayo, and the Connacht Distillery. Under the expert guidance of gin expert Julia Nourney, bergamot and rose petals were added as signature botanicals. The second batch of this gin, bottled at 42.4% ABV, is enjoying great popularity after the first batch quickly sold out in Ireland.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Fresh with distinctive zest notes, supported by floral and herbal juniper and coriander aromas.
- Palate: Spicy and complex with oily juniper, citrus-like coriander seed notes such as blood orange zest and candied orange peel, and piquant, tart nuances of sloe and wild fruits.
- Finish: Long-lasting with oily juniper notes and subtle floral, tart bitterness.
Distillery/Bottler: The Connacht Distillery in Ireland combines traditional distilling with modern creativity. Alan Clark, a presenter and comedian from County Mayo, brought his local roots and expertise to the table. Under the guidance of gin specialist Julia Nourney, a sophisticated Irish gin was created that appeals to both connoisseurs and newer gin fans.
