Special features: Kyrö Dark Gin, formerly known as Koskue, is distilled from 100% Finnish rye and matures for three to twelve months in new American white oak barrels. This barrel aging gives it a golden color and a warm, complex character. Balanced with freshly distilled orange peel and black pepper, it reflects the unpredictable Nordic weather.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Aromas of oak and orange, accompanied by a hint of floral summer meadow.
- Palate: Full-bodied with notes of honey, orange, and pepper that harmoniously blend with the oak.
- Finish: Long-lasting and pleasantly dry, with a hint of vanilla and subtle caramel notes.
Distillery/Bottler: The Kyrö Distillery Company was founded in 2012 by five friends in a Finnish sauna. They exclusively use 100% Finnish rye for their spirits and combine traditional distillation techniques with innovative methods. The distillery is located in Isokyrö, Finland, and has built an international reputation for quality and craftsmanship since its inception.
