Special Features:

The whisky was distilled on 9 April 2018 and matured for a total of six years. Nerello Mascalese red wine cask 310 shaped its finishing period before Langatun bottled the whisky at 49.12% on 19 March 2025. The cask yielded 522 bottles.

Nerello Mascalese is a red grape variety from Sicily. The cask imparts a delicate wine-like structure to the whisky, combining fruity malt notes with apricot, fig and raisins. Honey, vanilla, hazelnut and liquorice add further depth, while the lingering finish becomes increasingly spicy.

The 0.5-litre bottle comes in a wooden box. The whisky is chill-filtered and contains no colouring.

• Nose: Ripe apricots and figs meet roasted hazelnuts and dark raisins on the nose.
• Palate: On the palate, liquid honey and gentle vanilla combine to create a harmonious mouthfeel.
• Finish: The finish is long and carried by elegant spice.

Distillery/Bottler:

Langatun Distillery AG continues a family tradition dating back to 1857. Since 2014, its whisky has been produced in the historic granary in Aarwangen, while cask storage and maturation continue to take place in Langenthal. For its Single Cask Line, the distillery selects individual casks and deliberately uses different wine casks to highlight their particular influence on the whisky.
