First released in 1985, Laphroaig 15 Year Old returned in 2026 after a ten-year absence as a permanent member of the core range. Laphroaig 15 y.o. 46% matures for 15 years in American oak bourbon casks.

The longer cask maturation gives the texture greater body and roundness while retaining powerful peat smoke, sea salt, citrus fruit and gentle sweetness. The whisky is bottled at 46%, with its natural colour and without chill filtration.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals fresh orange peel and grapefruit with dried hay, gentle vanilla, a hint of clove and delicate barbecue smoke.
• Palate: On the palate, powerful smoke and sea salt lead to black pepper and warming notes of cinnamon, clove and ground coriander. Juicy peach and ripe grapefruit then emerge.
• Finish: The finish is long and driven by smoke; peach and grapefruit linger amid maritime salinity, savoury depth and gentle sweetness.

Distillery/Bottler:

Donald and Alexander Johnston founded Laphroaig on Islay’s south coast in 1815. Floor malting, turning the barley by hand, drying it over low-temperature burning peat and slow distillation remain part of the distillery’s traditional production process. Water from the Kilbride Stream and Islay peat contribute to its characteristic smoky, maritime style. Laphroaig Distillery produces this single malt, which matures for 15 years and is bottled as an official distillery bottling. Laphroaig belongs to the Suntory Global Spirits brand portfolio.
