Ledaig (Tobermory) 2009/2026 - 16 y.o. - Refill Hogshead #TB926-L - Hidden Spirits

Volume: 0.7 litres | Alcohol content: 53.1% | Chill filtration: No | Colouring: No

Special Features:

This Ledaig was distilled in May 2009 and spent its entire 16-year maturation in refill hogshead TB926-L. Hidden Spirits bottled the single cask in March 2026 at 53.1%; the whisky has neither added colouring nor chill filtration.

The bottling is part of the Pop-People Collection by Minea. Its label features Minea's colourful Pop Art work “Masai”, linking this single-cask bottling to the series' artistic concept.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, powerful peat smoke, salty sea air and mineral notes combine to create an intensely maritime impression.
• Palate: The whisky feels oily and powerful on the palate, where dry spice and bright citrus notes are accompanied by a subtle nutty depth.
• Finish: The finish is long, combining a pronounced salty note with lingering smoke and spicy, mineral accents.

Distillery/Bottler:

Founded in 1798, Tobermory Distillery stands by the harbour in the eponymous town on the Isle of Mull. It produces two distinctly different single malts under one roof: the unpeated Tobermory and the heavily peated Ledaig.

Hidden Spirits is an independent Italian bottler founded by Andrea Ferrari in Ferrara in 2013. The company selects individual casks of Scottish single malt and rum and releases them as limited bottlings under its own name.

For this bottling, Hidden Spirits selected hogshead TB926-L and released the Ledaig matured in it as an independent single-cask bottling.
