Lillet Blanc 0% combines dealcoholised French white wine with the fruit macerates used in classic Lillet Blanc. These macerates are made by steeping fruit to extract its aromatic compounds. The wine base accounts for 51% of the recipe. The alcohol-free version thus retains the combination of wine and fruit flavours that defines the classic aperitif.

This straw-yellow aperitif contains less than 0.5% alcohol. Alongside dealcoholised wine, the recipe includes water, sugar syrup and natural flavourings, as well as glycerine, citric acid, carbon dioxide and preservatives. Lillet Blanc 0% is vegan and gluten-free, but contains sulphites.

Serve it well chilled as an aperitif or as an ingredient in alcohol-free cocktails. Once opened, keep the bottle in the refrigerator and enjoy its contents within four weeks. Lillet Blanc 0% must not be frozen.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Fresh citrus notes mingle with orange blossom and red berries on the nose. A delicate herbal spiciness complements the fruity and floral impressions. Grapes and elderflower add to the bouquet, with citrus fruit remaining discernible as a subtle nuance.
• Palate: The aperitif feels light on the palate. Sweet orange meets a hint of herbs. Orange and delicate floral notes give way to woody hints. Fruity sweetness, acidity and a slight bitterness remain in balance.
• Finish: The finish is long-lasting and refreshing. Fruity and delicately bittersweet notes linger.

Distillery/Bottler:

Raymond and Paul Lillet founded Maison Lillet in Podensac in 1872. The village lies in the Graves wine region near Bordeaux. These roots connect the house to the region’s winegrowing tradition and provide the historical backdrop to its French aperitifs.

For Lillet Blanc 0%, the wine base is dealcoholised, while the fruit macerates are also used in classic Lillet Blanc. The adaptation therefore concerns the wine base, without dispensing with the house’s characteristic fruit infusions.
