Loch Lomond Original Single Malt - Triple Oak combines spirits from traditional swan-neck stills and the distillery’s characteristic straight-neck stills. It is matured in first-fill, refill and recharred American oak casks. The interplay of the two spirit styles and three cask types shapes the whisky with fruit, honeyed sweetness and a gentle hint of smoke.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals malt, golden biscuit and light fruitiness.
• Palate: Sweet honey opens on the palate, followed by soft notes of peach and pear; a delicate orange-citrus note and creamy vanilla complete the profile.
• Finish: The finish is medium in length and fades with a hint of gentle smoke.

Distillery/Bottler:

The present-day Loch Lomond Distillery opened in 1964 and began production the following year. After closing in 1984, it resumed malt whisky production in 1987.

The distillery is known for working with both swan-neck and straight-neck stills, an arrangement that enables it to produce different styles of malt spirit. Loch Lomond also maintains its own cooperage, where casks are repaired and charred. In Loch Lomond Original Single Malt - Triple Oak, spirits from both types of still are combined with maturation in three types of American oak cask. The whisky is an official bottling.
